TX. May 24, 2017. #1. Model Number. 106.58023800. So I have a Kenmore 106.58023800. The ice would not dispense so I checked the auger and it would not turn so I ordered a new one. When putting in the new one it will also not turn so it must be the wiring or something else but not sure how to trouble shoot it.The ice maker makes ice and fills the ice tray full with no issues. The problem is dispensing the ice. The auger motor does not turn or make a sound. The solenoid flap which should open as well does not. The water will dispense when the switch on the control panel is in the chilled water and crushed ice position.If the ice bucket does not seat securely, rotate the auger slightly. Once the auger is aligned with the motor coupler, place the ice bucket on top of the motor surface. Let the ice bucket cool for 10-15 minutes to cool to its original temperature. This will prevent ice from clogging the dispensing chute once the ice maker is turned on.Adjust your refrigerator's thermostat to a temperature range of 33-40°F (0-4°C) and set your freezer's thermostat to 0°F (-18°C).
